Sad times again

Once again we are having sad times here, with the devastating loss of both Flora from torsion at a mere 18 months old, and Baffle at nearly 7 just a week later from eating stones .

Busy few weeks in the ring and the field

Hounds have had a busy month with Sherman winning CC and BOB at Richmond championship Show in September

then Bella went to the Bloodhound Club Working trials last week and won the NOVICE stake. 

We are so proud of her.

Double Act

The reds had a great day at Richmond this year with Bella winning Open bitch and resCC 

and Sherman winning Limit Dog and CC and BOB

Summer fun

This summer has flown by but we have had so much fun with the hounds. Little Mission has settled in perfectly, and is now the best pal of Quiz,

and he has also started his training with K9 Search Dogs.

Then along came Phoebe into our lives.....

Mission Accomplished!

Well it was nearly Mission IMpossible but thanks to friends and ladyhaye Travel, it was finally Mission ACCOMPLISHED, so please welcome Mission (Boru's Fifty Mission Cap) all the way from Canada

Bella and her niece Quiz are quite inseparable!

Puppy alert!!!

Visited some beautiful  bloodhound puppies this week. They are our Baffles grandchildren, and they are stunning. Parents fully health tested. you can see them by clicking here

So far this month.......

Sherman has had a fab couple of weeks, winning the resCC at Windsor and Best AV at Redruth and a group 2 to boot!

and Quiz has had a few days at the beach making the most of the summer that was!

Mixed month

It was a mixed month with highs and lows.....The pups are technically no longer pups!  and have enjoyed their first couple of trips to shows as "juniors". Sherman won Junior dog at both Welks and the National Dog show, and really enjoys the show ring.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Barvicka this month, due to age related ill health. She was such a wonderful old lady and we miss her dreadfully.

Tracking Training Day

Great opportunity for getting your bloodhound started in tracking and tuition / advice will be given on the day. or just come along and meet bloodhounds!

Bellas big day out!

Bella (CH Gioia Delle Isole Lontane at Farlap -imp Bel) ws selected to represent the breed at the Kennel Clubs "Vulnerable Native Breeds" competition at Crufts this year. We didnt enter any of the breed classes at Crufts so had a very pleasant day on Friday (not hound day) with lots of media and public attention for Bella, who lapped it up as usual! She really showed off in the BIG ring and I was as proud as punch of her. Sadly  the judge chose a collie and a setter instead, but we didnt mind, it was a fun day.

Puppies big day out

Pups had their first show at the weekend, it was the Bloodhound Club open,and Flora was res bitch,

BPIS, and res BIS, and Sherman was res dog and resBPIS. Very proud of them both.
